This Precolombian soundwalk is a prototype that combines a geolocated soundscape with a paper map. An original idea by Fred Adam and Verónica Perales from ubik2.com and a collaboration for the spatialization in the public space of the contents of Madrid’s Museum of America. The development is based on NoTours with some interesting new additions such as a compass indicating the route to the starting point of the soundwalk.

noTours workshop at Música en Branco

In the context of Música en Branco, a urban intervention project to investigate, document and enhance the aural and musical heritage of the neighbourhood of Agra de Orzán in Coruña, Spain, noTours team has organised a series of small workshops in collaboration with Teresa Méndez García, a music teacher of the local secondary school, that aim to research transgenerational narratives in the neighbourhood.

noTours at Artropocode 2013

During the last two weeks, Horacio González from noTours team has been participating as a collaborator in Artropocode 2013, sharing noTours experience with the artists in residence and the participants.
As a result of a previous noTours collaboration with Helen Torres in 2011, one of Artropocode’s selected teams, “Emocorporeishon, Hacking de códigos emocionais” by Helen Torres and Lucre Masson, proposed the usage of a soundwalk to construct a non graphic emotional cartography of the event. Locative Audio 2013

Locativeaudio 2013 is a collaborative project including simultaneous soundwalks, and interactive works exploring geolocative audio and media in the urban context. It is a practice-led project which investigates human interaction with cities from a sonic perspective, connecting the urban experience with the ritual of the concert hall, art gallery or museum and back.

Serendipia (Serendipity) by Helena Torres

Serendipity, a sound drift to the origins of modernity.
Serendipityis a sound narrative geolocated in the civil cemetery of Ceares, Gijón, Asturias. It is a fragmented story recorded in soundtracks located in this cemetery that proposes to solve a crime that took place in Gijon in the late 19th century.
